Some evenings stay with you long after they end. That was the case at Tiffany & Co.'s unveiling of Blue Book 2026: Hidden Garden in New York, an evening built entirely around artistry, nature, and some of the rarest stones in the world.
A Collection Rooted in Nature
Tiffany's Blue Book has represented the house's most ambitious high jewelry work for generations, and Hidden Garden continues that tradition. Designed by Nathalie Verdeille, Tiffany's Chief Artistic Officer, alongside the Tiffany Design Studio, the collection draws deeply from the legacy of Jean Schlumberger, reimagining his fascination with birds, blooms, and the natural world through a contemporary lens.
The pieces I saw made that inspiration clear. Tiffany's signature Bird on a Rock design was on full display, perched atop richly colored aquamarines and framed by custom-cut chrysoprase beads, alongside necklaces and watches from the same collection. The broader Hidden Garden line carries that same spirit throughout, from Paradise Bird brooches set with gemstones like fire opal and blue chalcedony, to pieces inspired by Schlumberger's original bee motifs, to floral designs that translate Tiffany's archives into sculpted petals and platinum braiding. Seeing the collection come together felt less like viewing jewelry and more like stepping through an actual garden, one shaped entirely out of gemstones and precision craftsmanship.
An Evening Shared With Good Company
Nights like this are made memorable by the people you share them with. I was fortunate to experience this one alongside Darlei Bittencourt and Esther Viz, and in the company of the incredibly talented Fernando Torquatto. Moments like these are a reminder that true luxury is rarely about a single object. It is about the craftsmanship behind it and the people who make the experience worth having.

It is about intention, precision, and a level of craftsmanship that cannot be rushed.
